Trapezoid windows up high

Question

Sponsored Links

I am attaching a picture of my windows. The picture I sent is just one half. We have 3 on the other side also. Total 6. They are up high and we are on the lake facing west. We get full sunlight in the afternoon, and the room is like a cooker. We would like something to fully block the sun in the late afternoon.

Are these blinds really expensive?? If so, do you have the film that covers the windows and blocks the sun?

Answer

The trapezoid window shades are most likely the ideal solution for you allowing you to control when you want to allow the sun and view and when you want to block it. However like you suspect it is not a low cost solution and considering that you have six windows to cover it is rather expensive.

Window film is of course a lower cost solution. Here you can see the pros and cons:

Heat control window film will lower the amount of heat the transmitted through these windows and considerable lessen the glare.

Now about the view. The window film is not clear but a transparent grey color. The view will be slightly muted. But the advantage of "no glare" might compensate the grey color.

The window film we sell on our website is a do it yourself window film but we DO NOT recommend installing it alone above seven feet. You should either install it via a professional installer or two experienced people and take extra care.

We have two variations of heat control window film:

3 Trapezoid Windows up High

by SAM CAMPUIONE
(FLORENCE OR)

Question

I am looking to fully cover 3 trapezoid windows hopefully with remote control versus cords hanging.

If possible I would like the treatment to open upward. I want the product to match existing elan Architella, 3/4 inch pleats color bisque installed on other windows in the same room.

As these treatments will be in the stored position 95% of the time, I want the most cost effective product that will match existing..

Answer

We have two solutions using Architella Elan. One will open to the top completely while the other will open only until where the angle starts.

The one that opens to the top has a possibility of being motorized, depending on the size and slope of the angle.

The one that opens only till where the angle starts cannot be motorized and has size limitations. The price of this one is lower of course.

If you will reply to the e-mail we sent you with measurements of your window I will give you a price quote for each option.
