Sunburst Window Treatment
for Angle-top Windows
(trapezoid shape)

by Gina Paielli
(San Jose, CA)

Question

I would like to know if it is possible to create a sunburst style window covering for my two trapezoidal windows in my living room.

I do not have a picture, but can describe them. They have only one set of parallel sides (the vertical). The left sides are shorter than the right. The bottom of the windows go straight across, and the tops are angled.

You showed many other shapes, but not this one.

Please advise.

Also, if I were to provide measurements, could you make these for me?

Thanks for your help.

Answer

Yes, you can definitely make it in trapezoid shape just like you can make it in any other shape. It would be very similar to this triangle sunburst window treatment even though it has the two parallel sides coming down.

You can put the rosette in the corner like the right triangle. You will only need to measure only the angled side plus the shorter height to get the correct measurement to order.

Other ideas for the trapezoid window treatments can be found here but the sunburst kit is most likely the most economical one.
