Stationery butt window

Question

Where to hang a valance for a stationery butt window in the breakfast nook overlooking the lanai and pool. inside ceiling mount or outside mount. the window is wrapped.

Answer

You can put the valance just below the molding leaving the molding visible.

However if you are concerned about the view and you want to minimize the amount of view that is blocked, you can put the valance above the molding. You just need to make sure that the molding does not stick out below the valance. Doing it this way will add height to the whole area.
