Slanted Windows - not verticle

by Lisa Hainline
(Running Springs, CA)

Question: I have a sun room with angled windows, rectangles all in a row but coming towards you at the top and no window treatment I've seen can cover this except what the owner did with nailing reed blinds to the top and tuking them back.

I am wondering if there is some covering for spring and summer that will block the harsh sun and maybe open it up in winter...or take off...but something more FLUSH with the window's surface or not hanging down as this picture shows.

Answer: The ideal thing would be cellular shades. They can be made with special systems for skylights and green houses which have the right amount of tension to the shades from sagging.

Another idea is window film. There are a few versions like heat control, glare control, privacy, and decorative. Some are put on to stay for a while, while others are removable and reusable. Since the windows are slanted extra care must be taken while installing the window film, installation by a professional is preferred.
