We are trying to figure what type of shade to cover the windows in our great room.
The main window is the Palladian window with 1/2 round and 2 (1/4) round windows. The window will be painted white and the walls are Putnam ivory. We also have 2 other windows in the rooms to match, which will also be painted white.
I would like shades on all the windows and like them to match. The Palladian window will not have any other window treatments. Also the room has butternut hardwood floors.Question
The most versatile would be to use cellular shades since it can be made in almost any shape.
If your windows are perfect arches you can get shades in cellular shade fabric in the shape of a sunburst. This will add a warm touch to your room. The sunburst shades can also be opened and closed.
A perfect half arch has the width exactly half of the height. A perfect quarter arch has the height and width with equal dimensions.
Otherwise (if you arches are not perfect) you can have the cellular pleats across and they will open from top down.
The rectangular windows can be fitted with matching cellular shades.
