Impossible Triangle Window
Isosceles triangle
Question Help! Although beautiful, this east-facing third floor window has proven to be a nightmare to shade from early morning light that floods in and hits sleepers right in the face.

I'd like to find a solution that can be opened to let light in and closed to the sunlight with relative ease. The room decor is simple and masculine. I'm attaching a picture. The dimensions are 75"x 96" and the window itself is recessed 2" within a frame. The bottom part of the triangle has two slide windows that provide important ventilation. What do you recommend? I'm attaching a picture.
AnswerWhat a magnificent window!
It would be a pity to cover it up! You need a solution that will allow you to cover the window during the times that you need it closed and open it to expose the beautiful window and the outside view at other times.
For situations like these I recommend our bottom compressing cellular shades, which open by compressing the shade to the bottom of the window sill and close by raising it to the top of the window.
Ths window covering comes in many odd shapes including triangle and pentagon shapes.
The fabric used is the Hunter Douglas Duette and Applause cellular material. The best to use is the light filtering ones because the room darkening ones will not open fully and block half the window.
