I have 2 sidelight windows at my front door and I want to cover them but I am not sure what size to order. For the inner part of the windows the measurements are 9 inches wide and 38 inches high. What size covering should I order?
Answer
Is the 9 x 38 inch measurement surrounded by a frame at least 3/4" deep? If yes, this is the correct measurement and you choose an inside mount. Just make sure the measurement is exact to the 1/8" especially by the width.
If the frame is not 3/4" deep, then you might need an outside mount. In this case the measurements need to be 2" wider; since an outside mount should overlap at least 1" on each side. Just make sure that nothing will be blocking the shades.
