Arched window

Arched window

Question

Our family room has a two storey arched window. The bottom half has an aluminum blind but we need something to keep the sun out in the top part. (We recently found out that we cannot get an aluminum blind to put in the arched window.) The window is 106 inches wide and 77 inches tall. What type of blind would you recommend and what is the cost? Thanks.

Answer

The best solution for eyebrow arch windows like yours is the top-down cellular shades. They are made of cellular shade materials like Hunter Douglas Duette, Applause, and Architella.

The shade is mounted on the window sill and is lowered to open and expose the view and raised to close and block the sun.
