double pain

by Bill Patterson
(Las Vegas)

Question

Static cling window film can be applied to the inside of standard 1/8” single-pane windows and Plexiglas windows. However if you are applying them to dual-pane windows they need to be applied to the outside surface of the glass.

I just got my windows finished now I ask the stupid question - If I have the kind of windows that have the white plastic dividers (fake panes) between two seperate pieces of glass - will it HURT the glass to put the BLACKOUT cling on the inside???

Looks good,

Bill in Las Vegas

Answer

Our removable window films like the privacy black or glare control window films cannot be applied to the inside of dual pane glass. Doing so can cause the glass to break.
